Introduction

Circular route of about 55 km and 300 m of positive height gain, very scenic, winds around the Mont Fallère (3061 m asl).
Starting from Étroubles (1274mt asl), a two-day outing in the high mountains that allows you to cross a major hill, at 2,487 mt., beautiful meadows, pastures and alpine forests, stopping on alpine lakes. We return to the same point of departure. On the fun first day of downhill you will be able to access the ferruginous spring of the Citrin. It includes an overnight stay at the brand new and comfortable Monte Fallère hut (2385 m asl), where you shall relax with a nice hot shower (services in each room) before enjoying a dinner consisting on traditional Aosta Valley products, coming, in part, from the neighboring pastures.

Equipement

Bike suitable for mountain biking and working perfectly ( it is recommended to check it before the tour ), helmet (required) , clothing suitable for mountain bike ( it is recommended, in particular, the use of sunglasses with UV protection and gloves ) backpack for additional clothing ( sweaters, rain jacket / wind , etc.). , drinks (non-alcoholic) and packed lunch . Do not forget the sunscreen . In any case , the clothing should be appropriate to the portion that is reached , whereas the weather in the mountains can change too quickly and easily get close to the temperature of zero degrees. It is recommended to bring one or more correct tube for your tire, to be used in the event of a puncture, and a connecting link for the chain to be used in case of failure and other specific parts more suited to your bike.

In any case, you can have our recommendations to better prepare the excursion as a function of time and weather
