TransAlpVdA - The Aosta Valley from West to East
from Courmayeur to Gressoney
Introduction
A tour of about 230 km. with about 9000 meters of positive height gain along a route specially designed to make you cross the northern lateral valleys of Aosta Valley, watching closely the highest and most fascinating mountains of the Alps that exceed by far the 4000 meters high: Mont Blanc (4810 mt), the Grand Combin (4314 m), the Cervino or Matterhorn (4478 mt), Monte Rosa (4634 mt). Majestic mountains located at the border between France and Italy (Aosta Valley) and between Switzerland and Italy (again, Aosta Valley) ... But your eyes will be able to see in the distance also other magnificent peaks such as the Gran Paradiso (4061 m). You will ride over several days in the midst of magnificent forests, we will cross pastures, flowering meadows and typical mountain villages, real treasures of the Western Alps...
It 's impossible to describe everything in a few lines! ..
The Aosta Valley is the ultimate kingdom of the 4000s, as well as of the high mountain MTB.
